INDIANAPOLIS -- Life without starting middle linebacker D'Qwell Jackson started at about 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when he left the team's facility for the start of his four-game suspension for using performance enhancement drugs.
He's not allowed back in the facility until Jan. 2, 2017, the day after the regular season ends. Whether Jackson plays another snap for the Indianapolis Colts this season depends on their ability to win the AFC South to secure a playoff spot.
"We're all disappointed," coach Chuck Pagano said about Jackson's suspension. "It is what it is. Moving forward, if we're fortunate enough to play good enough and win enough games we'll get him back for the playoffs.
