At the beginning of training camp it looked like Stephen Morris was on the roster bubble with a high probability of getting cut before the regular season. That situation lpooked even more likely after he was passed up by undrafted rookie Phillip Walker on the depth chart.
However, Walker and Scott Tolzien have done Morris some favors by playing horribly this preseason.
Tolzien and Walker are a combined 26 of 47 for 213 yards with no touchdowns through the first two games. Their 4.5 yards per pass attempt is a shockingly terrible number, and the offense has not been able to get in a rhythm with either of them under center.
