INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts are a day away from an unprecedented, unpredictable NFL Draft.
The coronavirus outbreak changed everything. The final month and a half of the draft process was lost, eliminating half of the country’s Pro Days, cutting off top 30 visits by prospects to team facilities and trips by coaches to far-flung locales to work out prospects privately.
Instead of packing into one room at the team facility, the way just about everybody in the NFL has done their entire careers, the Indianapolis front office and coaches will be in their homes, connected only by phone lines and the Internet, the same way so many people have been working for more than a month now.
