The Indianapolis Colts today announced that running backs coach Tom Rathman is retiring after 23 years of coaching in the NFL.
Coach Rathman joined the Colts in 2018 when Frank Reich was hired by the team and has served as the teams running back coach for the last three seasons. In 2020 Rathman coached running back Jonathan Taylor to rush for 1,169 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2019 Rathman helped coach the Colts to a top 10 rushing attack for the first time since 2001, the team rushed for over 2,000 yards and a league 7th ranked average 133.
