INDIANAPOLIS — Call it the power of positivity.
Colts safety Clayton Geathers certainly does.
The 26-year-old is one of the few players on a very young roster who has played meaningful games in December with playoff implications. So the soft-spoken heavy hitter was a natural choice to address his teammates the night before Sunday's showdown with NFC East-leading Dallas at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Geathers' message was simple: Teams that truly play for one another and believe the sum of the whole is greater than its parts are hard to beat.
Turns out they can be hard to even score upon.
