The Indianapolis Colts' coaching search took another potential twist Monday when AFC South rival Tennessee Titans announced they have mutually agreed to part ways with coach Mike Mularkey.
It opens a head coach position for a team with a connection to Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, one of the front runners for the Colts' job.
Tennessee General Manager John Robinson has a history with McDaniels, having been together with the Patriots from 2002-08 and 2012-13.
