BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Indianapolis Colts could find themselves in a tough position when it comes to signing franchise quarterback Andrew Luck to a new contract because it will have a major trickle down impact on the rest of the roster.
The Colts were fortunate with Luck during his first four seasons because he was still under his rookie contract. That time is almost over, and owner Jim Irsay is about to have to open his wallet to pay his quarterback. Luck is expected to be one of the NFL’s highest paid players when a deal is finalized, which both sides hope will happen this offseason.
