WESTFIELD — Andrew Luck was out on the practice fields at Grand Park for the first day of Colts training camp on Thursday, in full uniform and working.

He just didn’t practice for long.

Luck did quarterback drills and threw routes on air to teammates, but when Indianapolis started full-team work, the Colts franchise quarterback put a baseball cap on his head and ceded the first-team repetitions to backup Jacoby Brissett.

Indianapolis continues to be cautious with the calf strain that Luck suffered during summer workouts and forced him to miss organized team activities and the team’s mandatory minicamp.
