The Indianapolis Colts re-signed Adam Vinatieri, who played the past 12 years for the Colts. Here’s a closer look at the signing:
Grade: A-minus. An argument could be made that Vinatieri was the Colts’ MVP in what was a disappointing 4-12 season for them in 2017. Even at the age of 45, Vinatieri made 85.3 percent of his field goal attempts (29-of-34) last season. Two of those misses came in a blizzard in Buffalo and another two came in the wind and rain of Baltimore.
What it means: Vinatieri, who is heading his 13th season with the Colts, will likely break Morten Andersen’s all-time scoring record at some point next season barring an injury.
