The Indianapolis Colts announced today that they have re-signed place kicker Adam Vinatieri. While the terms of the contract were not disclosed, it has been reported that Vinatieri’s deal is for one year and worth $3.625 million - $1 million to sign and a $2.625 million base salary.
The 45 year-old kicker will be entering his 13th season with the team. In his tenure with the Colts he has converted 86.5% of his field goal attempts, which is higher than what he made with the New England Patriots (81.9%).
It’s hard to not see why he’s often labeled as the “GOAT” (greatest of all time).
