WESTFIELD -- The Indianapolis Colts kick off the 2021 preseason Sunday against a team they’ve seen a lot of lately, the Carolina Panthers. After two full days of practices against one another at Westfield’s Grand Park, Sunday will bring the real thing -- well, at least as real as the preseason opener gets.
Typically, this space is used to break down titillating individual matchups we’re about to watch. A dominant speed rusher versus a stonewalling left tackle. A lockdown cornerback versus a game-breaking wide receiver. That sort of thing.
Unfortunately, you’re not going to see many of those here.
