INDIANAPOLIS – For the most part, Briggs O'Neill's love of the Colts, his obsession with an NFL team 600 miles away, was an unlikely love.
He lived in Omaha, where people root for the Chiefs, his big brother loved the Packers and the real football fandom in his parts surrounded the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
But one day, when Andrew Luck was the Colts quarterback, Briggs overheard someone talking about how Luck was a really good guy who treated his girlfriends well.
"And Briggs loved the ladies almost as much as he loved the Colts," said his aunt Kari O'Neill Potts.
