The NFL Draft is over a month away, but teams are already moving up in the draft. The New York Jets have made a trade with the Indianapolis Colts to acquire the #3 overall pick.
The Colts are sending the #3 overall pick to the Jets and getting a massive haul in return. The Jets are sending the #6 overall pick, #37 overall, #49 overall and a 2019 2nd round pick.
The Jets' move up allows them to secure one of the top 4 QBs in this year's draft. The Jets leapfrogging a QB-needy team in the Denver Broncos, and prevent a team like the Buffalo Bills from trading with the colts.
The Colts, meanwhile, get a huge haul to move down only three spots. It will greatly help their rebuilding process to have two extra second rounders this year. Plus, the Colts will still be able to secure a top prospect given that QBs will go off the board so early.
