This Former NFL Star Was Shot At Trying To Save A Man In His Underwear

Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison has already found himself in the news once in connection with a shooting in Philadelphia. It happened again on early Saturday morning.

Per David Gambacorta of the Philadelphia Daily News, Harrison was shot at early Saturday morning attempting to come to the aid of a man in his underwear.

The report indicates that at around 3:20 am, Harrison was driving before being signaled by a man running from his apartment after two men had broken into his home. The unidentified victim was wearing nothing but boxers. Harrison allowed the man to climb into the bed of his pickup truck as the guy pleaded with him to call 911.

The burglars subsequently exited the house and fired twice at Harrison's truck as he was driving away.

According to Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk, "no one was injured, but one of the bullets hit Harrison’s tire, which went flat shortly thereafter. The victim said the burglars stole $500 from him, and apparently scared him enough to eschew pants."

Harrison has been previously accused of involvement in two other Philadelphia-area shootings, but wasn't charged on either occasion. One of the two men involved was later gunned down near a bar owned by Harrison.
