KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Thilda Staubo carded an opening round score of 74 on a rainy opening day of the Kiawah Island Classic which is a three-day, three-round event being held at both the Osprey Point (Par 72 – 5,984 yards) and Oak Point (Par 72 – 5,977 yards) Golf Resorts.
In the large, 49-team field the Sycamores posted an opening round score of 315 and are in 38th place overall. Coastal Carolina leads the event after firing an opening round score of two-under-par 286. Staubo's round of 74 represents a score of two-over-par and is tied for 54th place.
