BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Indiana State baseball fell in the series finale with UAB Sunday afternoon at Young Memorial Field, 11-4. With the win, the Blazers ended a six-game losing skid and moved to 7-10 on the season while ISU fell to 11-6.
Indiana State jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning. Jordan Schaffer reached on a fielder's choice and eventually came in on a wild pitch to give ISU the lead. Diego Gines drove in the second run of the frame with a single to left field to score Brian Fuentes.
