CHARLESTON, S.C. - Indiana State baseball opened their Spring Break trip to Charleston, South Carolina with a 10-3 victory over The Citadel Friday night at Joe Riley Park.
Right-hander (3-1) went a career-long eight and a third innings in the contest, striking out seven batters and allowing just one walk en route to his third win of the season. Ward entered the ninth with a shutout before the Bulldogs (8-9) got things going with a leadoff single and a throwing error to put runners in scoring position. The Bulldogs would tally three runs in the final frame before reliever would close out the contest.
