TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State baseball dropped its series finale with Southern Illinois Sunday at Bob Warn Field as the Salukis stymied the Sycamore offense en route to a 5-0 shutout. With the victory, the Salukis claimed the series win after taking 3-of-4 games.
Noah Farmer (5-4) was stout on the mound, allowing just seven hits over the complete game shutout. The right-hander did not overpower ISU with strikeouts but by using his teammates in the field. When ISU did reach base, Farmer was able to induce four double plays – a season high for the Sycamore offense.
