CHARLESTON, Ill. - Indiana State baseball picked up its seventh-straight victory with a 10-8 win at Eastern Illinois Tuesday afternoon at Coaches Stadium in Charleston. It marks the longest winning-streak for the Sycamores since the 2014 season.
In typical midweek fashion, runs were scored fast and in bunches as both teams utilized their bullpens in the staff outing. The Sycamores (12-5) jumped out to an 8-0 lead before the Panthers put up a six-spot in the fourth inning of play.
Tyler Whitbread picked up his first win of the season to improve to 1-1 while matching a career high with six strikeouts in three innings.
