TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Senior posted her 38 career double-double and redshirt junior hit a team-leading .235 but Indiana State dropped straight sets to Drake in a 3-0 decision Friday evening at ISU Arena. Set scores were 25-20, 25-19 and 25-19.
Kawa's .235 included six kills for Indiana State (10-19, 3-14 Missouri Valley) while freshman tallied her seventh double-double with 26 assists and 11 digs.
Drake (19-13, 7-10) stayed alive in the race for the sixth and final seed in the MVC Tournament next week with the win. The Bulldogs were led by Cathryn Cheek's 13 kills and 14 digs for a double-drouble while Kylee Macke posted 17 digs.
