TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – On windy Tuesday evening, Indiana State softball fell in extra innings to Evansville at Price Field, 7-5 in a back-and-forth affair.
Indiana State drops to 17-23 on the season and 10-11 in MVC play while Evansville improves to 20-19 and 8-12 in Valley action.
Indiana State jumped out to an early advantage in the bottom of the third when hit a two-run homerun, her fifth on the year, and doubled over the left fielder's head to give the Sycamores a three-run lead. The Purple Aces answered in the top half of the fourth on a pair of singles and a double to tie the game a three apiece.
