Sycamores Fall in Second Game in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Bella Peterson was 2-for-3 at the plate but the Sycamores could not keep pace with a hot-hitting Belmont team in a 7-2 loss at the Memphis Softball Tournament Friday afternoon.

In the end, Indiana State (8-8) struggled to limit the effectiveness of Brooklin Lee. Lee (5-2) finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI, home run and two runs scored while also pitching a complete game, allowing two runs on five hits while walking three and striking out five.

It was Lee's solo home run in the third after two scoreless innings that broke open the scoring.
