LEXINGTON, Ky. – Indiana State volleyball was recognized Wednesday afternoon for its work in the classroom during the 2023-24 season, as the Sycamores were selected as a recipient of the AVCA Team Academic Award.
The award, which was earned by more than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball teams, honors programs that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Indiana State had three athletes earn MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honors following the 2023 campaign, the program's most in nearly a decade. Kaitlyn Hamilton earned Second Team MVC Scholar-Athlete honors, while Karinna Gall and Emma Kaelin were both selected as Honorable Mention MVC Scholar-Athletes.
