Sycamores Drop Series Opener at No. 13 Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Indiana State baseball's season long six-game winning streak came to an end Friday night at Hammons Field as No. 13 Missouri State continued their dominance of the Missouri Valley, taking the series opener 14-4.

The Sycamores (24-21, 10-6 MVC) started off blistering hot, scoring two runs in the first three innings to jump on top of the Bears, 4-0. With the bases loaded in the first doubled to right to score and who reached earlier in the inning.

The Trees would come back to score two more runs in the third, first on a single to center followed by Dungan going for his third RBI of the game with a single into left.
