VALPARAISO, Ind. – Sophomore Jake LaRavia scored 22 points and pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds to lead the Indiana State men's basketball team over Valparaiso on the road Friday night, as a stifling defensive effort boosted the Sycamores to a 58-43 victory in the Athletics-Recreation Center.
ISU (14-8, 11-6 MVC) held Valpo (9-17, 6-11 MVC) to a season-low 43 points and just 29.1 percent (16-of-55) from the floor in the contest. It was the fewest points Indiana State has allowed this season and the lowest an opponent has scored since Feb.
