EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Shaye Barton and Kylie Stober were dangerous at the plate, Stober was impressive in the circle and Rebecca Gibbs made a diving catch to clinch a win for the second time in a week as Indiana State dominated in a 6-1 win at Evansville Wednesday night.
The win moves Indiana State to 23-22 overall and into sole possession of third place in Missouri Valley Conference play with a 10-10 league mark.
Stober (7-8) drove in runs in the second and third innings off a fielder's choice and single, respectively, while also fanning five in four innings in the circle.
