CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Indiana State track and field teams concluded their weekend of competition at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships on Sunday with the women taking third as a team and the men finishing fourth.
The Sycamore women placed third with 93 points, falling only to Illinois State (232) and Southern Illinois (143) while the men placed fourth with 111.33, falling to Northern Iowa (167.50), Illinois State (154.33) and Drake (135).
During the opening event of the day, Ryann Porter opened in a big way for the Sycamore women. The freshman used her last jump of the triple jump competition to set a new career-best in the event, recording the second-best leap in school history of 12.
