TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State men's track and field team claimed victory at the 2021 Gibson Invitational while the women took third on a Saturday afternoon full of strong performances.
The Sycamore men took home first as a team with 157 points, defeating Northern Iowa (128), Milwaukee (86), DePaul (59) and SIU Edwardsville (45) to round out the top-five. The women took third with 97 points, falling to Northern Iowa (97.5) and Bowling Green (130). They finished in front of Central Michigan (91.5) and DePaul (78) in the top-five.
"This was a solid win for the men's team and the women competed well against two tough MAC schools and a conference rival," head coach Angela Martin said.
