ST. LOUIS - The Indiana State Cross Country and Track & Field programs have finished second in the Missouri Valley Conference Program of the Year standings, the Valley announced Thursday morning.
Scoring is based on the team's finish at each Missouri Valley Conference Championship in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field (i.e. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points … 10th = 10 points) with the lowest total score for all six championships (3 men's and 3 women's) combined determining the award winner.
The Sycamores finished with a total of 19 points, trailing only Illinois State who finished atop the Program of the Year standings with 10 points.
