ST. LOUIS – Senior Rylee Holland has been named to the First-Team MVC Scholar-Athlete Team for the 2017 season, the Valley announced Monday.
Holland owns a 3.79 GPA and is currently in graduate coursework in criminology & criminal justice after graduating with her bachelor's in the same area of study last semester.
This season, Holland played in 52 and started in 50 of Indiana State's 53 games. She hit .284 with 23 RBI and a .346 on-base percentage, recording ISU's longest reached-base streak of the season at 12 games. She finished tied for second in the Valley and 11th in the NCAA in sac bunts (15), and her 23 RBI was third on ISU's roster.
