SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Indiana State battled back from down as many as 11 points late in the second half and used a Brandon Murphy dunk with less than one second remaining to force their fourth overtime game of the season before falling, 81-75 at Missouri State in front of 4,400 fans inside JQH Arena.
The Sycamores fell to 6-8, 0-2 MVC while the Bears improved to 11-4, 2-0 MVC. Indiana State has had nine of their 14 games this season decided by one possession or in overtime.
Brenton Scott led the way for the Sycamores with 22 points as he tied career highs with six 3-pointers made as well as nine rebounds.
