TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Senior Alethia Marrero set the meet and facility record for the women's 800-meter run to get Indiana State off on the right foot at Day One of the Pacesetter Invitational on Friday night.
With three events scored, the Sycamore men lead with 54 points to 20 by Saint Louis. Meanwhile, the Sycamore women are in second with 33 behind SLU's 40.
Marrero won her heat in the 800 prelims with a phenomenal performance at 2:06.33, her first outdoor 800 this season and a three-second season-best of her MVC Indoor winning time of 2:09.
