JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Matthew Lewis-Banks led the Indiana State delegation on day one of the NCAA East Regional, earning a spot in the quarterfinal of the men's 110-meter hurdles on Friday.
Lewis-Banks unleashed the best performance of his career in the opening round of the 110-meter hurdles in Hodges Stadium. Battling heat and humidity in addition to some of the best athletes in the nation, Lewis-Banks qualified for Friday's quarterfinal round with an automatic spot, placing third in the final heat with the seventh-best time in Sycamore history of 13.79.
