LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Indiana State junior Leslie Sims was honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Thursday as she received All-Region honors for the second consecutive year, becoming the first Sycamore in school history to receive the recognition in back-to-back years.
Sims claimed Second Team All-Region honors for the second consecutive year and she becomes the second player in school history to receive multiple all-region honors. However, Katie Armour, who claimed all-region accolades twice in her career, did so in non-consecutive years (2006, '09).
In her junior campaign this season, Sims led Indiana State with a .
