TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – For the second-straight season, long snapper Joshua Appel has been voted a First-Team All-American by STATS FCS.
Appel, a senior finance major from Normal, Ill., is widely regarded as one of the finest long snappers in the nation regardless of division – as evidenced by his success at the nationally regarded Chris Rubio long snapping camp held each summer. Appel is a two-time defending champion of the Rubio camp, which features the top Division I long snappers in the nation.
Appel played and started in all 48 games of his Indiana State career as the Sycamores' long snapper without a single botched snap.
