ST. LOUIS -- Just weeks after being selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 2019 MLB Draft, Indiana State's Jake Means has been tabbed a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove at third base.
Means is coming off a superb senior campaign in which he was named the MVC Defensive Player of the Year. A First Team All-MVC and All-Defensive team member in 2018, Means finished the 2019 season with a .286 batting average and led ISU with 42 RBIs and 17 hit-by-pitch.
He was second on team with a .417 on-base percentage and 33 walks.
