NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Indiana State softball stayed hot defeating tournament host Lipscomb, 8-6 behind a five run seventh inning, to earn their third straight victory.
Indiana State (8-10) jumped out to an early lead to start the game scoring in the first inning. led off the inning legging out an infield single. Sims advanced to second on groundout. drew the two-out walk and got hit by a pitch setting up the bases loaded wild pitch, scoring Sims.
Lipscomb (9-8) answered in the bottom of the third inning with back-to-back solo homeruns to take the lead over the Trees, 2-1.
