TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Mallory Marsicek was 2-for-3 with two RBI and Leslie Sims was 2-for-3 but saw an impressive streak come to an end Saturday as Indiana State dropped the second game of a doubleheader to Northern Iowa, 10-3, at Price Field.
Sims had gone 105 consecutive games without getting caught stealing but saw her streak come to an end after an unsuccessful delayed steal in the first inning. For two innings that loomed large as the first full frame came to an end in a 3-3 tie.
But the three runs put up early on would be the only runs the Sycamores (9-12, 0-2 Missouri Valley) could muster in the game.
