NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Indiana State softball defeated SIU Edwardsville in the night cap, 6-5 behind a game-winning triple from in the bottom of the sixth.
(1-3) was dominant in relief earning the win for the Sycamores as she helped guide ISU to their seventh victory of the season. The junior allowed seven hits with four strikeouts for the Sycamores (7-10) over 3.2 innings of action.
SIU Edwardsville (9-3) jumped out to an early lead to start the game scoring their first run of the contest via an Indiana State error.
The Sycamores answered in the bottom of the inning tying the game at one.
