TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State connected on a total of 10 3-pointers and hit over 50 percent of their shots as they took down visiting Drake, 84-60, in front of 4,280 fans inside Hulman Center.
The Sycamores won their second consecutive game and for the third time in their last four tries to improve to 10-16, 4-10 MVC. Drake lost for the fifth straight game and fell to 7-19, 5-9 MVC. Indiana State has defeated Drake four times in a row at home and when this win is combined with the road victory over Bradley, it is the first back-to-back victories for the Sycamores since a November 30- December 7 stretch of wins against Northern Illinois, Utah State and nationally-ranked Butler.
