TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Left-hander Geremy Guerrero pitched his second shutout of the season as he led No. 22 Indiana State to a 5-0 victory over Valparaiso at Bob Warn Field Friday afternoon. With the win, the Sycamores moved to 17-8 on the year and 4-1 in Missouri Valley Conference action while Valpo fell to 5-17 and 0-5 in MVC play.
Guerrero retired the first seven Valpo hitters he faced on strikeouts and before popup to third base ended the run. VU did not record a hit until the sixth inning of play when Brady Renfro led off the inning with a single to right.
