EUGENE, Ore. – Indiana State senior Elias Foor picked up Second Team All-America honors in the discus throw Friday night, placing 15th in the event at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships at Hayward Field.
Foor's top mark of the evening came in his third attempt, and vaulted him into the top 15 in his NCAA Championships debut. It also represented an improvement by more than 10 meters from his second attempt of the day.
In addition to the All-America honors, Foor's finish was the highest by a Sycamore men's thrower at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships since Brandon Pounds' sixth-place finish in the hammer throw in 2012.
