ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Missouri Valley Conference office has announced the 2016 Baseball All-Conference Teams. Fifteen student-athletes were selected to the first team, while 15 members were voted to the all-conference second team. An additional 11 players were honored as part of the honorable mention all-conference team, as student-athletes must receive at least two votes to be named as honorable mention. A nine-member all-defensive team was also named for the fifth-straight season. All-conference honors and specialty awards are voted on by the league’s eight head baseball coaches.
Indiana State Baseball had five players named to All-Conference honors in senior Andy DeJesus (First Team and All-Defensive Team), junior Hunter Owen (First Team), senior Andy Young (Second Team), sophomore Jeremy McKinney (Honorable Mention), and sophomore Tyler Friis (All-Defensive Team).
