EUGENE, Ore. – Sycamore alum and two-time NCAA Champion Felisha Johnson cemented herself as one of the most legendary athletes in Indiana State history after earning a spot on Team USA for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio following a third-place finish in the shot put at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Thursday evening – becoming the first American Sycamore to ever qualify for Team USA in track and field.
Not only did Johnson make Indiana State history on Thursday night, but she did so against potentially the strongest American field in event history and amid the rain that the Pacific Northwest is well known for.
