DES MOINES, Iowa - Erin Reese, fresh off of her NCAA runner-up finish in the hammer throw at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, is set to compete at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.
Unlike the NCAA Championships, the goal this weekend won't be an NCAA title, but rather a trip to the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar on Sept. 28-Oct. 6. To qualify, athletes must finish within the top-three in their events and have attained the IAAF entry standard – which Reese already owns in the hammer throw at a season-best 71.
