TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State pitcher Cam Edmonson has signed a free agent deal with the Pioneer Baseball League's Ogden Raptors and made his professional debut yesterday as the left-hander becomes the sixth Sycamore baseball player from the 2024 roster to sign a professional contract.
Edmonson made his debut in the eighth inning of Ogden's 11-2 win over the Great Falls Voyagers as the Rochester, Ill. native worked a scoreless frame including his first strikeout in the Raptors' victory.
Edmonson joins Randal Diaz (Washington Nationals), Luke Hayden (Cincinnati Reds), Grant Magill (Chicago White Sox), Adam Pottinger (Joliet Slammers – Frontier League), and Zach Davidson (Chicago Dogs - American Association of Professional Baseball) marking the sixth Indiana State member of the 2024 team to sign to play professional baseball.
