ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Indiana State's Dominique Dafney earned Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week as well as Newcomer of the Week honors following his performance at Missouri State Saturday. The honor marks the first of Dafney's career and the fourth and fifth honor from the Conference office for the Sycamores in 2019.
Against the Bears, Dafney recorded the fourth-best single game rushing performance in program history after totaling 244 yards on the ground out of the wildcat. The redshirt senior went for a total of five touchdowns in the game, finishing with four rushing scores and one receiving touchdown.
