SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Indiana State baseball dropped its series finale with No. 13 Missouri State, 5-2, Sunday afternoon at Hammons Field in Springfield as the Bears secured the series sweep. With the loss, the Sycamores fell to 24-23 overall and 10-8 in Missouri Valley Conference play. MSU moves to 36-14 overall while remaining perfect in MVC play at 17-0.
Sycamore starting pitcher (3-5) put together a strong outing in his ninth start, going 5.1 innings and allowing the high-powered Bears' offense just three runs in that time. The southpaw struck out four batters and did not allow a walk.
