SEATTLE, Wash. – Indiana State dropped its first midweek matchup of the 2017 season Wednesday night, falling to Seattle University 4-0 at Bannerwood Park. The loss marks the first time this year that the Sycamores have been shutout.
In a pitcher's duel to start things out, Seattle finally broke into the scoring column in the fourth, capitalizing on a dropped fly ball allowing the first runner of the night to cross the plate. SU also added another run in the frame after Austin Lively singled up the middle.
Seattle (5-7) added a run in both the sixth and eighth innings to pad their lead.
