SEATTLE - Senior Ryan Keaffaber put together his best outing of the season as the Indiana State baseball team knocked off No. 12 Washington, 4-2 at Husky Ballpark Friday night to open a four-game set with UW.
The southpaw went six complete en route to his first win of the season, striking out five batters and allowing only one run. The Wabash, Indiana native set the tone for Husky hitters throughout his night, tossing first pitch strikes to 18 of the 25 batters he faced.
It was a pitcher's duel for the better half of the game as both Keaffaber and UW's Noah Bremer were able to manage both teams through the first three innings.
